The island in the outskirts of the lagoon is connected to the mainland by a bridge on either side, providing a great overview of the area for caretakers of little swimmers. Diving from the bridges is not permitted, but there is a jetty by the city beach which can be used for jumping and diving.
The beach itself is approximately 200 metres long, and areas for barbeque, campfires, benches, toilet facilities and the playground are all close by. You also have access to free wi-fi.
The city beach has an area especially designed to give safe and easy access to the water for people with disabilities or for elderly people who want to enter the water. This area is also well suited for younger children or others who are still developing their swimming skills.
