The walk from Mjøsparken to the city centre is approximately 1 km long and has art installations as well as beautiful flower arrangements. In the centre of Brumunddal the promenade crosses the pedestrian street, which also leads to the city playground, the main city square, shops and boutiques and several catering establishments.
You can also continue along the river upstream, past the Sveum sports arena. At this point the promenade turns into a path which follows the river.
The river Brumunda runs over 32,2 kilometres from the Brumund lake towards Mjøsa. This is one of the most important habitats for the trout species which is special for the lake Mjøsa, and every autumn the river is a popular fishing site for anglers.
