Brumunddal

The town centre of Brumunddal lies within walking distance from Mjøsparken along the lovely river promenade. Brumunddal is a cosy, small town with bustling streets, various shops, restaurants, bakeries and cafes. You will find chain stores and smaller niche stores and boutiques side by side. Every Saturday during the various seasons the town square is teeming with activities for families and other visitors.  

Brumunddal has several restaurants and eating places to favour any palate, with offers ranging from freshly baked bread to sushi. Many of our restaurants offer delicacies from the local farms, with produce from the surrounding countryside. Enjoy the restaurants facilities indoors or outdoors or take a picnic back to Mjøsparken.

Walks and adventures

The hills and mountains surrounding Brumunddal are inviting to all those who enjoy going for shorter or longer walks. For instance, hikes to the top of Bjørgeberget, Høsbjør or Bangsberget are all rewarded with a splendid view of the lake Mjøsa and its surrounding area. The possibilities are almost endless if you want to explore on foot – our forests, countryside and mountains are all open and available. Follow marked footpaths or, if you prefer, go off-piste.
